The brief from Montague Public Libraries was to create a brand that’s welcoming and accessible, pays homage to the nature that surrounds Montague, and celebrates and unifies the libraries’ three locations. They also had a preference for clean, simple logos. The resulting mark consists of three birds flying together, representing the three locations. It can also be seen as an abstract book.
We added depth to the brand through several brand patterns, which include an abstract Montague landscape and patterns made with the book/bird icon. It was a pleasure to work with a public library in my town!
